October Life Updates
I can't believe it's already October. My son told me he wanted to be Pikachu for Halloween. I said I could be Ash, but he was against it. This morning as he was going inside with his class, I yelled from the gate, "Bye, kon!" He said, not seriously, "Bye bye... whoever you are." Cold. Is this what it's like having an 8-year old?
Since my last update, I started dancing with Side Piece Dance Crew, a side project led by a friend who is relocating to the Midwest at the end of the year. At least for the first season. My first and last show with them was at Open Floor in San Jose.
And before that, we filmed a concept video at a very cool abandoned cement factory in American Canyon, a small town next to Vallejo. It was fenced off and also literally surrounded by new housing development, so that was an interesting juxtaposition.
Speaking of dance, I'll be performing with SGI Dance Collective at the Filipino Island Fest, in Alameda on Saturday, October 4th. We'll be going on around 4. Bring the family!

I have more news I will share soon. Exciting series of events coming up! We have so much access to each other, yet we're not in community enough. Times are too hard and uncertain to be siloed and going through life alone. See you soon!
